The GENOVATE Community is a platform which enables GENOVATE partners to share institutional information and case studies, and facilitates the coordination of a buddy system for bench learning.
The GENOVATE Community consist of seven GENOVATE partner institutions; the GENOVATE International Advisory Board; key strategic collaborators and stakeholders and the general public. It is a mechanism designed to facilitate meaningful knowledge exchange across the community at local, national and international levels within each of the partner institutions’ countries, across Europe and globally.
Genovate was met with the 50 students and academicians of Atılım University in 13th March 2014. I had a speech as an invited speaker of Women Studies Centre on the achievements of Genovate and answered the questions of participants. Thanks for their warm hospitality.
Students of Journalism, Radio- Televizon and Cinema, Public Relations and Women Studies Centre graduate programmes were trained by the proffessionals comes from Scientific Research Coordinate of AU and Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey in 21th February at Communication Faculty Hall. 45 graduate students who are at the dissertation stage have attended to the training moderated by Prof.Çiler Dursun. The applications to the research funds are expected to be improved via these trainings parallel to the aims of GEAP of AU.
AU Senate has passed a decision on a Directory against Mobbing at the workplace. A Unit Against Mobbing is also founded by this senate decision in 18th February. This directory is covering for the first time in the AU history that "women members of the Mobbing Commision can not be lesser than the men members". Even this article on the Directory is itself a revolutionary one on the official documents of AU so far. I'm very prouf of my university and thanks for the great friends of mine in Women Studies Centre who has worked for this milestone very hard until today.
We've met four more enthusiastic and brillant academics of Veterinary faculty who will work for implementation of AU's GEAP this year. Assoc. Prof. Seda Bilir Ormancı, Assoc.Prof. Atilla Ozgür, Research Assistant Güzin İplikcioglu and Research Assistant Bahar Onaran have all met with Genovate team members including Çiler Dursun, Emel Memiş, Yelda Başaran and Yeliz Özdemir in 18th February.
We've all shared our understanding on CAM and talked about World Cafe meeting that will be held in April 2014.

We've held second Institutional Advisory Board Meeting (called as Gender Equality Action Commission of AU) on 26th December 2013 at Ankara University Rectorate Management Hall between 11.00 am- 1. pm.
18th members of the IAB have attended to the meeting. We've made a presentation on the development in Genovate. After this, we've informed them about the concrete achievements of GEAP implementation in AU. We also delivered the Executive Report of Gender Equality Climate and Culture Report of AU to them members and gave them 10 days for their comments and feedbacks. Then we'll send the exact Report to the publishing house for printing and delivering to the all academics at managerial positions in AU.
We've given a lunch after the meeting and continue to share our thoughts and ideas on GEAP implementation.
Çiler Dursun, Emel Memiş, Bedriye Poyraz and Sema Becerikli all participated to the meeting. Yeliz Ozdemir, the new administrative staff of Genovate and also Phd. canditate has also attended.

Hello,
I and Bedriye have participated to the preparation workshops of 7th. Periodical CEDAW Report of Turkey in Bilkent University today.
I attened to the Education Section and Bedriye attended to the Decision Making Process Section. There will be a reference to the Genovate on the 7th. Cedaw National Report of Turkey 2014.
