Attracting both boys and girls to ICT studies and careers!

The Northernmost science centre in Sweden organised the "Researchers’ Night" in September 27, 2013 in Lulea. CDT attended this event with the SATIN project. Pupils from secondary schools of our region got a glimpse of LTU's research. The SATIN booth received a lot of attention. For CDT, it was a good opportunity to showcase results of the SATIN project and to attract a broader group of people including girls to create their own apps.

For more information: SATIN Project http://www.satinproject.eu/ The aim of the SATIN project is to enable people without prior programming skills to create their own apps. Design of an inclusive SATIN app creation platform is one of the criteria for a successful project and is also aimed to attract a more diverse group of people for app creation.
