genovate official siteThe GENOVATE Community is a platform which enables GENOVATE partners to share institutional information and case studies, and facilitates the coordination of a buddy system for bench learning.

The GENOVATE Community consist of seven GENOVATE partner institutions; the GENOVATE International Advisory Board; key strategic collaborators and stakeholders and the general public. It is a mechanism designed to facilitate meaningful knowledge exchange across the community at local, national and international levels within each of the partner institutions’ countries, across Europe and globally.

LTU Genovate Advisory Board meeting

The fourth Advisory Board meeting was held today at LTU. The board is now expanded with a new member from Luleå Municipality.Today’s meeting discussed the ongoing implementation of a gender-aware recruitment process at LTU after the presentation of LTU’s Human Resources Department. Genovate presentation at LTU

A joint workshop and team bilding event with CDT and the Division of Computer Science took place March 23, 2015 on the LTU Pitea campus.  Ongoing projects, OPTi, Genovate, OrganiCity, PrivacyFlag etc were presented and discussed in the event that attracted 40 participants from three research groups: Information Systems, Pervasive and Mobile Computing as well as Dependable Communication and Computation Systems.

"Broader recruitment with a gender perspective: A gender perspective integrated in the recruitment process will contribute to a sustainable and long-term competence at Luleå University of Technology. LTU Gender Equality Plan

Gender equality and equal terms is one of the priorities of LTU’s operational plan for 2015-2016. The work will be organised by the HR department and supported by a reference group consisting of researchers, experts, representatives of student unions as well as representatives of trade unions, managers and co-workers. The task of the reference group is to contribute with competence and engagement, support Vice-Chancellor, evaluate and prioritise different paths. The first workshop was conducted in January 27,2015.

The Swedish government support the gender equality work in 41 government agencies

The Swedish government is spending SEK 26 million to support the gender equality work in 41 government agencies. It is a diverse group of agencies that over a period of four years will receive unique support from the Swedish Secretariat for Gender Research in their gender mainstreaming work.
