genovate official siteThe GENOVATE Community is a platform which enables GENOVATE partners to share institutional information and case studies, and facilitates the coordination of a buddy system for bench learning.

The GENOVATE Community consist of seven GENOVATE partner institutions; the GENOVATE International Advisory Board; key strategic collaborators and stakeholders and the general public. It is a mechanism designed to facilitate meaningful knowledge exchange across the community at local, national and international levels within each of the partner institutions’ countries, across Europe and globally.

GENOVATE@UNIBRAD is organizing public lecture on “How a space-obsessed black, dyslexic, schoolgirl battled the odds to become a top scientist” by Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock, a distinguished physicist and mechanical engineer with a BSc and PhD from Imperial College, London on 27th Sep, 2016. Maggie, an Honorary Research Fellow at UCL, is a presenter of the illustrious BBC astronomy show, “The Sky at Night”; the world’s longest running TV series, celebrating space and astronomy. In her lecture, Maggie will be sharing her journey and experiences of overcoming multiple and intersecting discrimination as a child to achieve her ambition of becoming a prominent space scientist. Through this lecture, GENOVATE@UNIBRAD seeks to encourage interactive discussions among academics, students and experts on a wide range of critical social and scientific topics and their impact on society.
